What HexClad is
HexClad sells "hybrid" cookware: pans whose cooking surface mixes a laser-etched stainless steel hexagon pattern with a ceramic nonstick coating in the gaps. The company's legal name is One Source to Market, LLC, doing business as HexClad, and its terms of service list a legal address in Los Angeles, with returns going to a warehouse in Chino, California.
The range has grown well past frying pans. On hexclad.com today you'll find pans, woks, saucepans, stockpots, Dutch ovens, roasting pans, a new bakeware set, Damascus steel knives, HexMill pepper and salt grinders, cutting boards, aprons and barware. HexClad sells directly through hexclad.com and runs separate storefronts for Canada, the UK, the EU, Australia, Japan, Mexico and the UAE. Its warranty page also refers to "authorized sellers," so the pans show up at other retailers too.
Gordon Ramsay is the brand's best-known face. The site quotes him and is currently running a sweepstakes in his name, which we cover under Current offers.
What makes it different
A steel pattern over the nonstick
Most nonstick pans are a smooth coating you have to protect. HexClad says its raised steel hexagons take the wear while the ceramic nonstick sits in the "valleys" between them. That's why the brand allows metal spatulas and whisks. It's also candid about the limits: its FAQ says sharp utensils can still scratch, and that any scratch is cosmetic and doesn't affect performance or safety.
Built like stainless, not like a thin nonstick pan
HexClad describes a tri-ply build: a magnetic stainless steel base, an aluminum core for heating, and a stainless layer above it. The practical upshot, per the brand, is that every Hybrid pan works on induction and that the pans are oven-safe up to 900°F. The tempered-glass lids are a different story. HexClad rates them to 400°F.
PFAS-free ceramic coating
HexClad says its current coating, called TerraBond, is a ceramic nonstick that is both PTFE-free and PFAS-free. That's a claim from the brand, not something we lab-tested, but it's stated plainly on the FAQ and science pages.
It asks for a little more care than the marketing suggests
HexClad's own FAQ gives you a short list of habits. Season a new pan before first use: heat it on medium-low with a teaspoon of vegetable oil for a minute or two. The brand says the pans perform better over the first few weeks as they pick up fats from cooking. The pans are dishwasher safe, but HexClad recommends hand washing and warns that the dishwasher can leave them looking dull or dark, and that phosphate-free detergents can etch the metal. Exposed stainless around the rim can stain, which HexClad suggests scrubbing with steel wool, but never on the cooking surface. None of this is unusual for good cookware. It's just more involved than the "almost indestructible" line on the product pages implies.
The product range
Fry pans are the heart of the line, and they're also where the per-piece price stings. Sets bring the cost per pan down considerably.

Offers change often; HexClad's site has the final terms. We list a code only when HexClad publishes it.
All HexClad deals and policies on one page
Two things to know before you hunt for a code. First, HexClad's refund policy says only one discount code can be used per order, so a sign-up code and a set price won't always stack. Second, HexClad's FAQ links to "welcome offer" details for new customers, but that page didn't load when we checked on Oct 27, so we can't tell you its terms. If you're offered a code at sign-up, compare the total in your cart with and without it.
The site is also running "Gordon's Golden Ticket to Italy," a sweepstakes whose official rules set an entry period of Oct 8 to Nov 2, 2026. Purchases earn entries, but the rules say no purchase is necessary, and buying doesn't improve your chances. We don't count it as a discount.
The Wary Check
HexClad passes all six checks. The two with real fine print are returns, which cost you money, and the warranty, which you need to register.

Price and value
HexClad is premium-priced. A single 10" Hybrid fry pan is $149 without a lid, and the 12" with a lid is $199. Sets are where the numbers start to make sense.
| Item | Price today | Set value shown | What the pieces cost separately today |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hybrid Fry Pan, 7" | $109 | — | — |
| Hybrid Fry Pan, 10" | $149 | — | — |
| Hybrid Fry Pan with Lid, 12" | $199 | — | — |
| The Essentials Bundle (12" pan + 3-qt pot, lids) | $289 | $358 | $348 |
| 6-pc Fry Pan Set with Lids | $399 | $532 | $517 |
| 6-pc Pot Set with Lids | $379 | $467 | $467 |
| 12-pc Pots & Pans Set | $699 | $999 | $984 |
| HexMill Collection Bundle | $369 | $487 | Depends on grinder finish |
HexClad defines "set value" as the combined individual prices of the items in a bundle. Measured against the brand's own list prices, that's mostly true, but not always exactly. When we added up today's single-item prices, the 6-pc fry pan set's pieces came to $517, not $532, and the 12-pc set's pieces came to $984, not $999. The real saving on the 6-pc set is still $118, which is meaningful. Just use the item-by-item number, not the "value" figure, when you decide.
Another way to see it is cost per pan. Bought singly, the three lidded fry pans cost $149, $169 and $199. In the 6-pc set, they average $133 each. In the 12-pc set, the six lidded pieces average about $117 each, and the set includes the 8-qt stockpot, which costs $179 on its own. If you know you'll use pots as well as pans, the 12-pc set is the better deal per piece. If you mostly cook in skillets, the 6-pc set avoids paying for pots you'll leave in the cupboard.
The bigger bundles run from $1,199 (25 pieces) to $2,999 (54 pieces). Those mix cookware with knives and accessories, so check whether you actually want everything in them.
There's no subscription and no consumable to budget for. The cost over time comes down to how long the pans last and whether you need the warranty.
Shipping, returns and warranty
Shipping is genuinely free to the lower 48 states, with no minimum. Returns are where most HexClad reviews go quiet. The refund policy gives you 30 days but puts return shipping on you. The terms of service go further: refunds exclude the original shipping and handling, and items that need cleaning, new packaging or parts may carry a restocking fee of up to 20%. A $699 set you've cooked in could cost you real money to send back. The lifetime warranty is solid on paper, but HexClad asks you to activate it through a registration form, and it may still charge you return shipping on a warranty replacement.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Lifetime warranty against manufacturer's defects on cookware, with clear published exclusions
- Free shipping to the contiguous US on every order, no minimum
- Pans are oven-safe to 900°F and work on gas, electric and induction, per HexClad
- Metal utensils are allowed; HexClad says scratches are cosmetic only
- Sets are discounted every day: 25% off the 6-pc and 30% off the 12-pc against set value
- A 14-day price drop refund protects you if a sale starts right after you buy
Cons
- Single pans are pricey: $149 for a 10" pan with no lid
- Returns are not free: you pay return shipping, and original shipping isn't refunded
- A restocking fee of up to 20% can apply to items returned needing cleaning or new packaging
- No phone support listed; help is by email and an online portal
- Glass lids are only oven-safe to 400°F, well below the pans' 900°F rating
- The warranty excludes damage from excessive heat, and HexClad advises low-to-medium heat
Who it's for (and who should skip it)
Good fit: the one-set-for-years buyer
If you're replacing a mismatched cabinet of worn-out nonstick and want one family of pans that goes from induction hob to a hot oven, the 6-pc or 12-pc set is a reasonable buy at today's prices. Register the warranty the day it arrives.
Good fit: the metal-spatula household
If your house has one cook who babies the pans and another who grabs a fork to flip eggs, HexClad's steel pattern is built for that tension. HexClad says scratches are cosmetic, and metal utensils are explicitly allowed.
Good fit: the induction convert
If you've just moved to an induction cooktop and your old aluminum nonstick won't work on it, HexClad's magnetic stainless base solves that. The brand says every Hybrid pan is induction-compatible, so a set replaces the whole lot in one purchase.
Skip it if...
You want an inexpensive nonstick skillet to replace every couple of years, you cook mostly on high heat, or you need free returns. A budget pan will do the first job for far less than $149, high heat runs against HexClad's own advice, and a HexClad return costs you shipping at a minimum.
Alternatives
If you're still deciding on the hybrid idea, these brands take a different route to the same stovetop.

FAQ
Is HexClad worth it?
It can be, if you buy a set. The 6-pc fry pan set costs $399 today against a $532 set value, and the pans carry a lifetime warranty against defects. As single pieces, HexClad is expensive for nonstick. It suits cooks who want metal-utensil-safe pans that also go on induction and in the oven, per the brand.
Is HexClad legit?
Yes. HexClad is the trading name of One Source to Market, LLC, which lists a Los Angeles legal address in its terms. It publishes its prices, return policy, lifetime warranty terms and price match policy on hexclad.com, and returns go to a warehouse in Chino, California. Buy from hexclad.com or an authorized seller, because the warranty only covers products bought new from those sources.
Does HexClad have a discount code?
HexClad doesn't publish a public code on its site. Its sets are discounted without one: 25% off the 6-pc fry pan set and 30% off the 12-pc set against set value on Oct 27, 2026. The FAQ mentions a new-customer welcome offer, but its details page didn't load when we checked. Only one code can be used per order.
What is HexClad's return policy?
You have 30 days from purchase to return items in original condition with proof of purchase. You pay return shipping, and the refund excludes the original shipping and handling. HexClad's terms also say items that need cleaning, new packaging or parts may carry a restocking fee of up to 20%. Refunds take about 7–10 business days after the return arrives.
What does the HexClad lifetime warranty cover?
It covers manufacturer's defects on cookware, knives, HexMills and kitchen tools for the original owner with proof of purchase. You activate it with a registration form. It excludes damage from excessive heat, abuse, improper cleaning, sharp utensils and restaurant use, plus cosmetic changes. HexClad may ask you to pay return shipping on a warranty replacement.
Is HexClad oven safe?
Yes. HexClad's product pages say the Hybrid pans are oven-safe up to 900°F. The tempered-glass lids are rated much lower, at 400°F, so take lids off for high-heat roasting or broiling. The brand still recommends low-to-medium heat on the stovetop and notes that high heat can leave burnt residue on the surface.
Is HexClad dishwasher safe?
HexClad says its pots and pans are dishwasher safe, but it recommends hand washing with warm soapy water. The brand warns that the dishwasher can make cookware look dull or dark over time and that phosphate-free detergents can etch the metal. Its knives are different: dishwasher damage is excluded from the knife warranty.
Is HexClad nonstick coating PFAS-free?
HexClad says its current cookware uses a proprietary ceramic nonstick called TerraBond that is PTFE-free and PFAS-free. The coating sits in the valleys between laser-etched stainless steel hexagons, which the brand says protect it from wear. These are HexClad's claims; we didn't run independent lab tests.
Does HexClad offer free shipping?
Yes, to the contiguous US on all orders, with no minimum. HexClad's FAQ lists 5–7 business days in transit for free shipping after the order ships, which is usually within 3–4 business days. Orders can arrive in several boxes on different days. Second Day Air and Next Day Air are available at extra cost.
Final verdict
HexClad makes a distinctive pan and backs it with clearly written policies: free shipping, a lifetime warranty against defects, and a 14-day price match. The prices are high, though, and the "set value" numbers run a little ahead of what the pieces actually cost. Buy a set rather than single pans. The 6-pc fry pan set at $399 is the sensible entry point, and the 12-pc set at $699 suits a full kitchen refresh. Go in knowing that returns aren't free, that the restocking fee language exists, and that you need to register the warranty. If those terms work for you, HexClad is a fair buy at today's set prices. If you just want cheap nonstick, it isn't.
